Third Friday - "REFLECTIONS OF PHOENIX" EXHIBIT by Zee Peralta

January 18th, 2019 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Join us for Third Friday and checkout our latest exhibit, Reflections of Phoenix, which gives viewers a fresh new perspective on the city. The photographic masterpieces by self-described street photography artist Zee Peralta will be on display as part of our monthly rotation of art exhibits until January 30, 2019.

Peralta says her artistic inspiration comes from her solo exploration of Downtown Phoenix, and that capturing moments and meeting people helped her fall in love with the city through her camera lens. “I love capturing the reality of our city life through buildings, cars, and people, finding reflections in those subjects, and envisioning what’s on the other side,” she explains. “I love to photograph anything that reflects a different perspective on the city.”

Peralta was drawn to photography as a teen and today lends her time as a mentor to the Kids in Focus program that helps local troubled and inner city children discover a new outlook on life through photography, a theme to which Peralta can personally relate. “Photography is a very creative way to find healing and inner peace,” she says. “It’s extremely therapeutic and a wonderful way for children to get involved in their community.”

Peralta was recently selected as the first female photography artist to lend her talents to the Valley Metro ArtsLine Rotating Transit Art Program. Her work is currently on display on the mural at the Valley Metro Rail Station.
